Under the ENHANCER Project—funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) under the coordination of the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye—Seydikoop Women Producers Agricultural Development Cooperative, together with the project partner Seydişehir Municipality, has been awarded grant support within the Employment Creation–Focused Cooperative Grant Program. This achievement marks an important milestone that will increase employment and strengthen agricultural production in the district.
As a result of the application to the grant program aimed at supporting socio-economic cohesion and sustainable employment between Syrians under Temporary Protection and host communities, the project titled “Co-Production: Solidarity Through Cooperativism (CO-COOP)” has been awarded grant support.
Through the project to be implemented in cooperation with the cooperative and Seydişehir Municipality, it is aimed to enhance agricultural production in Seydişehir, support rural development, and create new employment opportunities.
Among the activities to be carried out with grant support, a shared agricultural machinery park will be established by procuring modern farming equipment to increase forage crop production in the district. At the same time, the cooperative will produce forage crops on agricultural lands owned by Seydişehir Municipality, and the high-quality feed produced will be delivered directly to local farmers, providing economic benefits to livestock farming in the region.
