Women Produce, Seydişehir Grows
The project was implemented under the leadership of Seydişehir Municipality and coordinated by the Seydişehir District Governorship. Its main objectives were to brand local products unique to Seydişehir, increase women’s employment, support entrepreneurship, and promote the more active participation of disadvantaged groups in social life.
Within the scope of the 18-month project, a Municipal Food Production Workshop and a Local and Souvenir Products Sales Point were established, with the aim of producing and marketing local food and handicraft products through women’s labor. During the project period, 80 disadvantaged individuals received training in local product production, entrepreneurship, and rural tourism. At the end of the project, permanent employment was provided for 10 women at the workshop.

Main Project Activities
As part of the project activities, women were encouraged to come together, and this collective effort evolved into an institutional identity, leading to the establishment of the Seydikoop Women Producers Agricultural Development Cooperative. Seydikoop was founded through this project by women who met, built trust, and decided to produce together based on a shared commitment.
We set out on this journey not for a single project, but to produce together. The “Women Produce, Seydişehir Grows” project became the starting point where we, as women, came together around the same table for the first time, recognized each other’s labor, and built a shared vision.
This project was not only a social support initiative; it marked the first steps of a process that strengthened solidarity, made women’s labor visible, and carried us toward a sustainable and permanent structure.
