Women Producers’ Market
Located on the Konya–Antalya Highway, the Women Producers’ Market is a special sales point that makes the labor of women from Seydişehir visible and brings local production together with value along the route. This market was established as a tangible outcome of women’s shared vision of producing together and offering their products directly to consumers.
At the Women Producers’ Market, local food products, traditional flavors, and handicrafts produced by women with their own hands are offered for sale. Every product presented here represents local identity, labor, and solidarity. The women who sell their products at the market share not only what they produce, but also their stories and production culture with visitors.
Thanks to its location on the busy route connecting Konya–Antalya route, the market makes a significant contribution to promoting Seydişehir’s local values. Beyond serving as a rest stop for travelers, it offers visitors the opportunity to recognize women’s labor and directly support local production.
The Women Producers’ Market is a solidarity-based space that operates during the summer months, where women members of the Seydikoop Women Producers Agricultural Development Cooperative actively engage in both production and sales. Coming together under the cooperative structure, women offer their locally produced goods directly to consumers, taking part personally in every stage of the process—from production to sales.
These activities, carried out throughout the summer, enable women to generate income while strengthening a shared culture of production. At the same time, they make women’s labor visible and provide a tangible, on-the-ground contribution to sustainable local development.
We extend our sincere thanks to Seydişehir Municipality for their strong support in the establishment of the Women Producers’ Market and for creating this valuable space for women’s labor. Thanks to the municipality’s visionary approach, women members of the cooperative have gained the opportunity to showcase their production during the summer months and turn their labor directly into income through sales.
